The VIVO IPL 2017 is all set to begin from April 5th, 2017 and after the completion of VIVO IPL Auction 2017, every team of IPL is ready to conquer this IPL season 10 with their retained & newly added players. The IPL Auction 2017 saw some very expensive deals being made by the popular franchise like Rising Pune Supergiants who bought Ben Stokes for Rs.14.5 Crores. This is for the first time in the history of Indian Premiere League that a foreign player sold out for this much amount.

The VIVO IPL 2017 Auction was held on 20th February, 2017 in Bengaluru. Total 352 players were listed for the auction and we saw a number of shocking and most expensive bids in this IPL 10 Auction. Most interestingly, the highest paid players in IPL Auction 2017 were mainly foreign players, and Karn Sharma was the only Indian who sold for Rs.3.2 Crores. All the franchise team of Indian Premiere League retained 140 players under the player retention policy of IPL.

But finally, Rising Pune Supergiants managed to bid high on him and got him for a amount of Rs.14.5 Crores which is almost 7 times higher than his base price.

Tymal Mills, another England Cricket Team player raised the heat at the IPL Auction 2017. He’s a very fast bowler who bowled really nice during India vs England recent T20 series where he took many important wickets. Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indian fought in the bids till 7-8 Crores from a base price of 20 lacs. But unfortunately, they were not able to bought him as Royal Challengers Bangalore entered in between and bought the fast bowler for Rs.12 Crores. It was necessary for the RCB to get a fast bowler in the team, as Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc discontinued his association with RCB one day ahead of the IPL auction 2017.

The New Zealand Cricket Team fast bowler, Trent Boult became the highest paid New Zealand cricketer in VIVO IPL Auction 2017 as he sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs.5 Crores. With a base price of Rs.1.5 Crore, Trent Boult entered the auction with a full spark which could have seen on many teams who were in the race to buy him like Mumbai Indians who tried their bit but unfortunately the deal slipped from their hands and landed into the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders.

4. Kagiso Rabada – Rs.5 Crore – Delhi Daredevils (Bowler)

The South African fast bowler, Kagiso Rabada is known for his well managed bowling. However, his auction began with a little hesitation but at last he became the 4th highest paid player or IPL Auction 2017 as he sold for Rs.5 Crores to Delhi Daredevils team. With a base price of Rs.1 Crore, Kagiso Rabada grabbed attention from Virendra Sehwag who wanted to save the bowler for Kings XI Punjab but unfortunately, he didn’t make it as Delhi came forward and bagged the fast bowler for Rs.5 Crore.

The 23-year old Australian bowler, Pat Cummins was one of the main target of Delhi Daredevils as they wanted him to be in their team eagerly. There were a tough fight between Sunrises Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils for Pat Cummins but DD played smartly and got the bowler for Rs.4.5 Crore.

6. Rashid Khan – Rs.4 Crore – Sunrises Hyderabad (Bowler)

The new face in the IPL, Rashid Khan who is an 18-year old Afghan player was the surprise package in IPL Auction 2017. This player made his debut in 2015 and was in limelight during the fight between Mumbai Indians and Sunrises Hyderabad at Auction. The base price of Rashid was 50 lacs but Mumbai Indians brought up his price to up in crores. And finally, Sunrises Hyderabad bagged this bowler for Rs.4 Crore.
